Evenlode Vale Churches

“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work”

2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Our 7 Parishes spearhead our mission in Evenlode Vale Churches. They do not receive any government or other central funding and therefore rely on the committed, generous and sacrificial giving of our church congregations, and fund raising events organised by those who support by giving their time. In addition, a number of our Parishes have “Friends” organisations who give valuable help by raising money for the maintenance and improvement of our church buildings.

If you would like to help in the financial support of work of the Parishes, or one individual Parish, please contact the relevant PCC Treasurer:

Families, Youth and Children

Our work amongst families, youth and children has grown significantly over the past five years. We now employ a Families and Youth Curate whose employment costs we meet. We run a whole range of services, clubs and activities for this age group (Please see Youth & Children Calendar) and have an annual budget of £35,000 which is funded almost entirely by the generous giving of individuals across our Benefice and from further afield.

Funds are channelled through a charitable trust: “The Evenlode Vale Ministry Trust” (“EVMT”) and if you would like to give financial support to this work please contact the EVMT Treasurer (details below) Cheques and Standing Orders should be made out to “Evenlode Vale Ministry Trust”.

Building Project

The works required to re- order Holy Ascension Church, Oddington to create Evenlode Church Centre (“EVCC”) are being funded in the main by individual donations. We are looking to people to make a “once in a lifetime” commitment over and above their other Christian giving to enable this project to happen and to provide a facility for the benefit of this and future generations. We are also seeking support from a number of charities and grant making bodies.

The management of this project is being undertaken by EVMT in partnership with Oddington PCC. Donations are being received by EVMT and are administered separately from those which relate to the running of the Families, Youth and Children’s work. Donations and Standing Orders should be made out to “EVMT Church Centre” and sent to the EVMT Treasurer (details above).

Gift Aid

Our parishes and EVMT are registered charities and therefore, for every £1 donated, we can claim a further 28p from the Inland Revenue, under the Gift Aid scheme. This makes a significant difference. If you are a UK Taxpayer, you qualify to give under the Gift Aid scheme and all we need are your details for the reclaim form. Contributions of any kind are always welcome whether Gift Aided, anonymous, or other.
