This mostly baroque programme brings familiar melodies to Cotswold audiences sung by the ‘soaring crystal clear soprano voice’ of former BBC Singer Lesley-Jane Rogers who now lives in Bourton-on-the-Water, and an ensemble of accomplished musicians.
Lesser known is the composer of Danserye for recorder and harpsichord by the Englishman Thomas Pitfield(1903-99), whose fine craftsmanship blends perfectly with the older masters.
